“When One Patient Becomes Two”
For their first in-person class since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, second-year medical students saw human anatomy from a whole new perspective using MODEL-med simulators.
They used Sophie and her Mum in their simulation of a female patient in active labour. During this session, the students created simulated situation and created a character persona, helping the experience feel even more realistic.
If you would like to learn more, read the whole study and watch the video to the left.
Breech Without Border educating using MODEL-med simulators
At MODEL-med we work closely with Breech Without Borders, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to breech training, education, and advocacy.
They have made this educational video that features each of the 4 main types of breech presentations on the simulator (frank, complete, incomplete, footling or “dropped foot”) using Sophie and her Mum.
This informative video also expands on what breech is, how common it is, what the different types of presentations are, and how it works using our MODEL-med simulator, Sophie and her Mum.
