I know that Gynaecologists carry out a range of health services, including but not limited to pelvic exams, pap tests and screenings. We are also required to diagnose and treat conditions such as endometriosis, fibroids, infertility, ovarian cysts, and cancers of the reproductive organs.

There are three goals that can make me an expert Gynaecologist:

  • Staying updated with the latest research and advancements in the field
  • The ability to accurately diagnose a range of conditions and advise accordingly
  • To safely administer medical, hormonal or surgical treatments.

I recognise these three ideas are critical to getting the best patient outcomes.

How can I achieve these goals?

At MODEL-med we ask ourselves, “How can we help gynaecologists be better at what they do?”

Our answer is to create the most lifelike simulators possible, which can allow you to practise every day procedures and diagnostic exercises on a regular basis.

How do MODEL-med products make you a better Gynaecologist?

Better Nurse Example

Run simulations with anatomical accuracy:
Our Gynaecological Simulator has a vagina, anus, urethra, and uterus. Made from a very life-like material, it allows you to practice everyday procedures such as bi-manual palpation, pap-smears, and the use of the speculum or catheter.

Introducing variation for accurate diagnosis:
The Gynaecological Simulator comes with seven different uteri. There is a small, medium and large uterus, a retroverted uterus, one with an ovarian cyst and one with fibroids.

There is also a hollow uterus so you can simulate anything that requires access to the interior of the uterus, such as a pap smear.

This will allow you to accurately carry out a range of diagnostic simulations.

Improved patient comfort and safety:
Having the ability to accurately and readily practise common procedures will let you hone and refine your skills without causing any distress to a live patient. If you are a gynaecologist in training, our simulators are a valuable tool to help build your skills and confidence prior to working in a clinic.
